CONDITIONS-BASED MAINTENANCE

Emissions-based maintenance is a significant advancement and enhancement to current conditions-based maintenance (CBM) programs for diesel engines. CBM is a cost-effective maintenance strategy where engine health is monitored and maintenance is performed after degradation has been measured. CBM programs have been around for decades including oil & lubricant sampling, vibration analysis, and infrared temperature analysis and have augmented older time-based maintenance practices.

Reveliency has extended the CBM practices to analyze exhaust-gases resulting from engine combustion to determine if maintenance steps need to be taken. This analysis is effective on any diesel engine regardless of engine tier or age and is a perfect extension to existing CBM maintenance programs.

EMISSIONS-BASED MAINTANANCE

Our emissions-based maintenance (EBM) software uses exhaust-gas inputs to analyze engine performance resulting from engine combustion to determine how the engine is operating. Our software algorithms have been refined based on thousands of in-field emissions tests and the results of successful maintenance adjustments that have corrected engine performance. The EBM software identifies needed maintenance corrective actions that OEM fault codes did not identify.

Our emissions testing protocols replicate standard EPA testing procedures to ensure data consistency, reliability, and accuracy. Our proprietary systems have been developed over several decades with hands-on diesel maintenance experience and working with many different engines and vehicles.

Equipment we have worked with

The EBM tools provide maintenance professionals with a new tool that quickly analyzes engine performance and provides corrective maintenance actions that can be taken.

The EBM tool is an enhancement to a conditions-based maintenance program and takes the doubt out of whether the engine is performing up to its potential or not. We provide maintenance professionals with insightful and actional tools that:

Advanced predictive maintenance (PdM), enabled by extensive sensor integration and machine-learning techniques, is one of the most widely-heralded benefits of the fourth industrial revolution. The idea is certainly a compelling one, and it is encouraging companies in asset-intensive sectors to pursue investments in digital maintenance and reliability. PATENT PENDING ARTIFICIAL INTELIGENCE (AI) TECHNOLOGY

The EBM software is hosted in the cloud to ensure the highest available uptimes and security. Engine and emissions information is gathered and fed into the EBM software for analysis and reporting. Once the data is input, the system generates a report on how the engine is performing and what corrective actions can be taken to improve engine performance. Engine and emissions data can be gathered and input to the EBM software in one of two methods:

Manual Input

Collecting in-field emissions samples is nothing new and has been done for decades for compliance reasons. To enhance the value of those regulatory samples, we have developed proprietary software algorithms and a web-based portal to process in-field emissions samples. We can train your people on how to collect emissions samples and provide a secure web portal to enter the results. Our artificial intelligence (AI) software handles the rest!

Autonomous Input

Our patent-pending software analyzes engine and emissions sensor data fed from telematics systems (i.e., IoT devices). The data is delivered to our artificial intelligence (AI) software using API connections with IoT devices. The autonomous testing algorithms allow for more frequent emissions tests and require no manual intervention. Ensuring your equipment is monitored for the best possible performance.

EMISSIONS-BASED MAINTENANCE RESULTS

The EBM software identifies corrective maintenance actions that can be made to improve engine performance. Typically, the suggested repairs do not require significant effort and are typically not costly. We have worked alongside engine owners to make the corrective actions and will help along the way. For engine owners who outsource their maintenance activities, the EBM software can be used to measure engine performance to ensure engines are performing optimally.

The ultimate goal is for the EBM software is to confirm that the engine is running as it was designed to operate when it was manufactured. Corrective maintenance actions generally produce immediate results, and typically engines perform more efficiently right away delivering a very high ROI to customers.
